Bayern Munich and France defender Willy Sagnol has announced his retirement from football, having failed to recover from an Achilles injury.Sagnol has not kicked a ball since last summer when he underwent surgery on his troublesome Achilles tendon, but was expected to start work on a comeback this winter.
